The Hughes 9202 is a compact, robust portable Wi-Fi hotspot operating over the Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) satellite service. It provides high speed connectivity and its robust and sturdy design allows efficient use in even the most extreme conditions.
It uses the world’s smallest class 2 BGAN terminal, and users can connect on its signal via smartphones, laptops or tablets and enjoy broadband speeds up to 464 Kbps. Users can also use additional features such as the bullt-in-multi-user Wi-Fi access (enabling more users simultaneously at once) and automatic context activation (ACA). This device also allows the transmission of SMS messages via the integrated user interface (IUI) without any connected devices.
The Hughes 9202 supports full ISDN and circuit switched voice and fax calls via a two-like RJ11 plug. It also allows users to send and recieve IP traffic via Ethernet and Wi-Fi.
Remote field personnel can use this device with full confidence and efficiency to communicate and collaborate with various other agencies and staff using video, voice and data simultaneously. The Hughes 9202, as with all Hughes BGAN models, is IP-based, which means it delivers dedicated Quality of Service (QoS) levels.
