The Hughes 9450-C11 BGAN Mobile Satellite Terminal allows customers to connect at IP broadband speeds of up to 464 Kbps while on the go. This device is ideal for personnel working in emergency response teams, military, oil, telecommunications, utility, forestry and so on.
This device connects to the Inmarsat Global Area Network (BGAN) satellite service and provides high-performance on the go in all kinds of environments.
The compact and rugged Class 11 Antenna is a fully autonomous, all-weather tracking antenna that can withstand heavy rain, sub-freezing cold and tropical heat. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 55°C (-13° to 131° F). With an ingress rating of IP56, it works in extreme wet-weather. It’s able to resist powerful jets of water from all directions, and is also resistant particles and dust. Whether it’s the high-plains in winter or the jungle in summer, a dust-covered desert highway or a tropical storm, the roof-mounted antenna can take it.
This device provides budget-friendly communication costs despite its use in remote locations.
Remote field personnel and corporate disaster planners can collaborate, coordinate and communicate effectively with collaborating agencies and headquarters staff using the video, data and voice connections which this device offers. All three methods of communication can be used simultaneously. This device, along with all Hughes BGAN-relying models includes a built-in Wi-Fi access point. It’s IP-based and also offers selectable, dedicated Quality of Service (QoS) levels.
The installation options for this device are quite simple and quick for any land-based vehicle. The mini antenna may be mounted for a fleet-style installation, or the magnetic roof mount may be mounted on the roof of the vehicle, enabling rapid installation and removal. The antenna equipped on this device includes a single, 8 meter RF cable connection.
This device also sports four Ethernet ports with PoE (Power over Ethernet) that allows the user to connect multiple devices at once. In addition, it supports analog and ISDN circuit-switched voice calls, along with fax and 64 Kbps ISDN data.
